Black Out Your Display

Amongst 10.5’s slew of little features is the option to designate one screen corner for turning off the display. Check the Expose System Preferences pane to activate this function — it will power down your pixels without interrupting whatever else your computer is up to.

I’d use this all the time, if it wasn’t for the fact that sleeping the display doesn’t lock the screen. For the less paranoid, this feature a great way to increase display lifetime.
